Re: Different styles of Hindi / Urdu?
Ok. A serious guess for what Anjul means - Anuj means younger brother I think. Anjul may be a different dialect that means Anuj - younger brother.
Re: Different styles of Hindi / Urdu?
*Anjul = dil-nasheen = the one who lives in someone's heart
*
nice name! :)
Re: Different styles of Hindi / Urdu?
@Southie yes, Anuj means younger brother. Anjul has different meaning. I have a Anuj and a Jyesth bhrata :) @KKF you are right, sir. Thank you. Anjul name is used by both males and females. It has one more meaning- quantity that can be hold in a palm you can say 'chullu' eg chullu bhar paani :) similar names are Anjuli & Anjuri.
Re: Different styles of Hindi / Urdu?
yes...anjul means 'muTThii bhar'...hamaare gaaoN meN ise 'anjurii' kahte haiN...anjurii bhar anaaj = ek muTThii anaaj...is naam kii ek movie bhii aayii thii. :)
Re: Different styles of Hindi / Urdu?
@KKF hahaha mujhe pata ni tha mera nam chalta bhi, movie bhi aa gai :) mujhe toh lag raha tha k vilupt hone ki kagaar pe hai..:) thank you..ab me bol sakta hun k is nam ki picture b hai ;)
Re: Different styles of Hindi / Urdu?
@KKF I think 'mutthi bhar' is more appropriate meaning as Anjuri word is also used my region. I see many dialect words are not in freequent use these days. Kuchh saal pahle ek bacha gobar me gir gaya..maine pucha ye kya hua..wo bola..'chibarh toh gaye the' log jyadatar ajkal 'chhab gaye the' use karte hain..bahut sare words hn jinka upyog kam ho gaya h, anjuri bhi pahle mere gaoN me bhot chalta tha par ab kam ho gaya chalan.

Re: Different styles of Hindi / Urdu?
Derivatives of Sanskrit, a single additional word in front call UPSARGA can have different meaning
Poojya= Adorable
Apoojay= Unadorable
Kupoojya= Worshipped by wrong people, deity like Satan
Sampoojya= Absoultely adorable.
Not exactly, it is language spoken in and around Delhi, it is the dialect having Hai and thaa. It is more like Haryanvi language written in Devnagri, Khari boli has just Tu, not tum or aap
Re: Different styles of Hindi / Urdu?
^ yes, the Kaur...you are absolutely right...one more example is the word poot which makes other words like sapoot, kapoot etc.
