Differences between women and men in Salah

I have done allot of research and allot of them say different things.

For instance, on 1 website it says there should be a 2-3 cm gap between the women’s feet when standing, but others say they should be kept closely together. Whilst sitting, a woman’s right foot should be placed out to the right before going into sajdah but another says that both feet should be upright behind the woman during the sajdah & then placed to the right for remaining ruku.

My feet are upright during sajdah and then are placed to the right, am I wrong? I can’t even place them to the right first and then go into sajdah as I don’t even manage to do sajdah properly. I can’t find any hadith or anything about the differences in salah, so where have these differences come from?? Soo confused.

Re: Differences between women and men in Salah

It depends on what madhab you follow. You know Hanafi, Shafi, Maliki, Hanbal. I don’t have any references but I read namaz as per the Hanafi method. So for a woman that means keeping hands over chest, in sajdah keeping feet upright then placing to the right afterwards. Keeping arms in close to body while doing sajdah and forearms on the ground with stomach touching thighs. If I’m wrong someone please correct me this is how I was taught in masjid.
