اور تم خوار ہوے تارک قـرآں ہو كر

**Woh moazez the zamane mein musalman ho-kar **
Aur tum khwar huwe tarik-e Qura’an ho-kar
Allama Iqbal (Allama = Wise, learned)
(Moazez = honored), (Khwar = disgraceful, distressed), (Terk = abandon, Tarik = one who abandons).
The Choice:
They (the than first muslims who choose and embraced Islam) preferred Islam over their desires and all sorts of worldly gains, they never compromised with any kinds of expediencies and oppositions that could weaken their faith or diverge them from the path of Islam. They were the true Muslims who lived Islam, lived for Islam, fought for Islam and died for Islam,
THEREFORE THEY CONQUERED A WORLD. Thus Allah had bestowed them with HONOR.
The Chance:
As it is said that easily attainable blessings are given least importance. We muslims BY CHANCE (by grace of Allah) born to muslim parents have proved this saying to be true by our grave negligence toward our religious duties and responsibilities. The worst followers of Islam we are, we live with our worldly desires and differences, we fight for them and die for them.
THEREFORE WE ARE BEING CONQUERED. Thus Allah has bestowed us with DIS HONOR.
We observe the happenings take place against and around us, we understand the situation and also know the solution but, STILL WON’T REPENT!!!
Who are we waiting for to emerge to rescue us from the present miserable condition???
**روشنى دل كے اندهيروں میں ہو كيسے ناظم **
قـيـد سورج تو كبهى دهوپ پہ پہــرا ديكهوں
**Roshni dil k andheron mein ho kaisay nazim **
Qaid sooraj toh kabhi dhoop pe pahra dekhoon
Sooraj = Source of light: Allusion toward Qura’an-e kareem which is usually wrapped in a bag of decorated cloth and kept at a highest and un accessible place in our homes.
Dhoop = Sun light: (teachings of Qura’an-e kareem) Allusion toward different self imposed restrictions
by us and demands of expunging various verses and chapters from Qura’an-e kareem made
by enemies of Islam ).
