Re: Difference btw Love & Affection
c;mon people, give me ur opinion
Re: Difference btw Love & Affection
Affection happens when the person likes other person’s looks, actions and presence. Love is based on personality regardless on the looks. You have to know the person inside to fall in love with them. There is no concept of love at first sight, that’s an affection or could be the lust. :)

^ i like this definition :)
Re: Difference btw Love & Affection
Ajnabee, very deep, i like that:P
Re: Difference btw Love & Affection
Love is mutual affection. The intensity of the love is directly proportional to the intensity of the affection. This is governed by the formula
xL = xA , where x = intensity, L = Love, and A = mutual Affection.

Oooh, Intelligent girls :love:
Re: Difference btw Love & Affection
Don’t the xs cross out and you are left with L=A??
I think Love is more intense than affection, so,
xL=yA, where y>x:D
Re: Difference btw Love & Affection
Have you guys watched the movie Notebook? That’s love
Affection has confusions but love is with out any doubts.
Re: Difference btw Love & Affection
true, you make a good point. The correct formula is in fact:
L = xA, where x = intensity, L = Love, and A = mutual Affection
the greater the intensity of the mutual Affection, then the greater the Love.

Re: Difference btw Love & Affection
I object!
Looking at another way:
A=L/x
So as x approaches infinity, the equation implies that A will approach 0. That equated to when L approaches infinity, A is 0. Hence, A can not be directly proportional to L and the equation demands a polynomial.
Re: Difference btw Love & Affection
Ah, but then your assumption is that whilst x approaches infinity that L remains constant. I would argue that it is impossible to have a large x value, that is to say a large attraction factor, in the absence of an extremely large amount of Love, that is to say a large L value. If both L and x are thus approaching infinity, so long as x is smaller than L an A factor greater than 1 is maintained, that is to say that attraction remains.
Perhaps the love-attraction explanation equation must always be presented in conjunction with a constraint.
L=xA , where **L = xA, where x = intensity, L = Love, and A = mutual Affection **and where L > x
Re: Difference btw Love & Affection
Nope, i have to go with maddy onthis one, and you are right IT IS A POLYNOMIAL OF DEGREE 1(called a monomial where the power on L is one)
In A=L/x, both A and L are variables where A is a the dependent and L is the independent, whers as x is just some constant value like 1, 2 or 2/3. You never make the constant value reach infinity.
