Just to add, I also think a ring is too small a gift for your sister as well, especially if you're close.

wow I just did a currency conversion on 2000pak rupees £14.63?? What kind of gold ring are you going to get for that, I have silver earings that cost more than that, seriously I pay more then that a month for Sky TV. Unless you live in a mudhut without running water spending that amount is an insult.
Edit: Looks like I misread the post, so the ring is in addition to 2000 rupees. Well I suppose it depends on how heavy the ring is.
