Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

^^ Million dollar question.
Ok guys don't take my statement as a controversial one but I have my view regarding this thread and its title.
Why do we need to come up with all type of controversial reasons that why a Pakistani is different from an Indian?
Why do we always have to debate where 10 people will claim that yes Pakistanis and Indian are different and other 10 will claim that no they are not. Why can't all the 20 people admit that the root of the problem is this debate. If they can only realize that this debate is on for the last 60 years and its about time it should be ended.
Do we do this debate with the others nation as well in the world? If not why?
Because we know that there is no reason for such a debate with other nations since we are different from them.
Why can't we simply admit that yes both of us different and there is nothing wrong in being different from one another?????
After all people all over the world are different and there is a reason that most of them do not fight about this issue of differences. They all admit that yes we are different but still we have to live together.

I guess we live in a country which came into being because of these differences. Our forefathers believed in these differences and thats why they opted to live in Pakistan. We also believed and thats why we live in Pakistan.
The problem between Pakistan and India and people of both these countries will continue to emerge as long as we have people who are way too nice and who claim that there is no difference between Indians and Pakistanis. Absolutely wrong, we are different. In response to these nice people we have people who will come up with all kind of hatred. And so this becomes a vicious cycle.

So what should we do? Keep on fighting like wild cats or move on.
I am sure alot of thes issues between us will automatically die, if only we all can accept and admit with open mind that we are two different nations who are living in a same geographical region and therefore have to live as good neighbours.
This is my view and it didn't pop up in a day or two. I have been living in US for the last 3 years with alot of indians living in my community. And slowly and gradually I have came to this conclusion that the best solution of this issue is not to consider it an issue.

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

People of Pakistan (or this part of sub-continent which includes Indian Punjab, Rajistan,....as well) are more aggressive throughout history and that aggressiveness is also visible in sports.

Indian crouds behave in anger as Pak team is led to victory in an unusal way, most of the times. Whether it is Miandad's six or Salim Malik's innings in Kolkota, a single Pak player stood between India and victory. Such things are rare and can make any crowd go wild.

During the WC quarterfinal which Pak lost to India (in 1996 I guess), Anwar and Sohail started so aggressively and for most of the Indian crowd, the match was over so they disturbed.

Such things are not limited to India, crowds can go wild anywhere (if something unusual is around). In Pak there was a time when we had the likes of Malik, Ijaz and Akram (with their front-end supporters) and oour team was so much involved in out-of-the-field activities. Our batting could fail to cross 150. At that time most of the cricketers were put under threat and even Akram's house was attacked. Now that was one incident un-matched.

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

The way Jazba_pk has twisted a good article from an Indian on an Indian website praising Pakistani hospitality into an anti Indian triade is amazing.
It doesn't look like Jazba pk... it sounds like Jazba anti India down in heart somewhere.
Its Pakistani press who should write about Indian hospitality. Though number of press men/newspaper pakistan has are not even 10% of Indian press and newspaper.
So its so easy for some body Jazba_anti India to pick some article from heap of print in Inda and turn into a article of friction is just shows the sick mentality.
So Jazba_pk did hospitality so that it should be returned.
Finally same Indian press whose article you have picked for specific hate also has following consistent view. So believe in this as well..
1. That Pakistan is supporting terrorists in India in name of religion
2. Sharjah matches were doctored so India stopped playing there
3. Indians have to abandon matches due to hospitality of umpires and crowd in past in Pakistan. (Now sure somebody would raise Calcutta - That wasn't against Pakistan)
4. Kargil was an uninitiated and unprovoked incursion where Pakistan refused to claim bodies of its own soldiers.

Moderator Please keep this thread in Cricket Forum, since you have kept it till now
Now, Whole hospitality from last few years is coming back, where was this hospitality
1. When Indian team came to Pakistan in earlier years
2. When Indian Hockey team was stoned

Jazba, don't generalise things so simplistically. That's what fanatics do...
Things are much more complex...

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

^^ Thanks for proving the point Again! “Hello 911 …something burning:mad2:” :stuck_out_tongue:

Pakistan Rocks!!! :jhanda:

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

need I say more!

i dont have to defend my self in front of rahul or n e 1, “twisting” the article as you said would only be possible if the readers of the article were incompetent or ignorant to logic! you seem threated about the truth thats why you said im twisting it. any1 can read the article and give their views, i gave my views, and you can oppose them if you choose to but dont “doctor” my intensions!

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

my point exactly!! everyone has to accept that we are totally different countries!

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

Sure, You don't need to prove anything since you can't prove anything with colored glasses.....
Yes it hurts people from a country for whom terrorism is part of International policy statement talks about peace..
Anyway this thread is more about Hate India than any logical discussion on cricket.. So I am out of this thread for good......

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

:cb:
God Bless Kashmir and Punjab.

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

Jazba if all you are saying that we are different countries than no point picking an article. We all know we are different countries.
You are saying "We are different people. Pakistanis are friendly and act upon them and Indians are not. "
That's generalization based on one article is twisting an article.

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

You prove my point ,that this thread is about Hate India. Thanks for showing true colors.
Lets talk some cricket without abusing each other in threads related to cricket..

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

exactly different countries different people! the ovation india got in Karachi was simply amazing! i didnt witness n e such ovation from thousands of fans in cricket stadiums in india, they dont clap for n e boundaries as we saw and even indian commentators say that! inzamams amazing last ball win was greeted with silence! only few people cheered afridis memorable knock!

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

I think you should, since you are doing exactly the same what I said in my post earlier. This thread started with Jazba PK saying something about cricket fans in India which by the way is true. And in response you came up with some political bull crap about Pakistan.
As far as india abondoning matches with Pakistan, you came up with a reason that why India stopped playing cricket with Pakistan. Obviously there are always versions. You can give your hypothetical version of why India was not playing with Pakistan. We, my friend, atleast have no hypothetical version. We can claim for a fact that Pakistan thrash the behinds of Indian team so many times that we even don't remember. And due to that India decided to come with an excuse of not playing cricket with us. Atleast by doing that they avoided the wrath of their fans temporarily, which by the way was the only idea of not playing with Pakistan. We know fans in india are the craziest among all and Indian team and board were sick n tired of getting their behinds kicked by Pakistan team and later by their own fans at home.
And please specify what do you mean by doctoring the matches in Sharjah. Do you mean to say that all the matches over there were fixed? So soes that mean that Indian players during those days use to lose matches with Pakistan intentionally? since otherwise it was not possible to fix the matches.
Please avoid polictical bull**** in this thread and argue on the basis of "cricketing facts"

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

You conveniently forget Chennai test match, we lost series at that time. I was in stadium at that time clapping and Pakistan team taking laps of victory honors...

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

Ok.. Guys...
I seems to have made my points.......... So good luck for the series....
Have good time being good hosts. We are back in pakistan..

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

Last year when Pak visited India and Afridi showed his class in ODIs, I saw one Indian kid on media who when asked about his favorite player, said: "I like Afridi, but not when he plays against India." (That kid had tears in his eyes) and if he was ever able to shoot Afridi or put the ground on fire, he must have done that.

Actually ESPN (India) and other channels and Indian Media, created hypes of Sehwag and his abilities to hit the ball (better than Afridi). Afridi's early dissmissals (in opening ODIS) provided them enough to prove Sehwag is a much accomlished player than Afridi. Now no one can hit the ball better than Afridi and proving Sehwag or any other player better than Afridi will just bring tears and hatered in kids.

Thats what this thread is all about.

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

Plz summarise your points for the sake of humanity.

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

Ah please don't bring kids in such discussions.

Btw, his reaction isn't too out of ordinary.

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

There is no doubt that some of the Indians replied with same warmth(especially in Mohali ,Punjab) that we showed them when they toured pak in 2004 but their crowd behaviour in reply to Pak was pathetic at times, stones throwing at bus, bottles throwing at Ahmedabad, pathetic crowd of Calcutta (as they alwys are) etc were highly disappointing.
We cheered Indians throughout the series in 2004 and off the field hospitality was simply awesome, it surely reflected the attitude of an average person towards an Indian and Indian behaviour in reply was positive in the beginning but they proved later that why we are called arch rivals.

Re: Difference between Pakistanis and Indians

Well, an endless discussion as usual. We Pakistanis should always keep in mind that Pakistan was created against the common wishes of an ordinary Hindu and therefore, Indians of that age group, who actually saw Pakistan being created in 1947 will always have hard problem in accepting Pakistan as a reality and understandably so. The very creation of Pakistan and its progression as a country later always echoed a resounding defeat for those old Indians. That is why one may find more Indians prone towards expressing bad things about Pakistan as compared to their counterparts the Pakistanis. That old Indian generation also transferred some of its frustration to the next generation but of course, the level of frustration in the following generations is much lower. In my opinion, the new generation in India has accepted Pakistan as a reality. Based on my interaction with Indians, north Indians are always more open towards Pakistan as compared to other Indians.

For instance, I and my buddy celebrated New Year night in Washington DC downtown. The traffic is always horrible in DC especially on New Year’s Eve. Therefore, we decided to take a cab from my friend’s apartment to the club. The cab driver was some Sharma Jee from Indian Punjab. When he came to know that we are also from Pakistan Punjab, he became very friendly and we had a long chat with him throughout the journey. When we reached the club, to my surprise, sharma refused to take the fare which was pretty significant. We insisted a lot but he refused to take. Anway, we made sure that we paid him his dues before we left but his warm gesture did touch our hearts. These instances could be exceptions too but after reading this thread, I decided to share it with you guys.
