Difference between an electric heater & a microwave oven

So, what is the difference between an electric oven & a microwave oven? Because, i could find temperatures like, 200,300,400,etc degree C, on an electric heater but not on an microwave oven. So, can a cake be baked in an electric oven!? :hmmm:

Re: Difference between an electric heater & a microwave oven

do you have a regular microwave? if so, you won't find deg C on it. it's not using an electric element to heat the oven but microwaves to heat the food. you will just have power and time settings. you can google to find out if and how to bake in a regular microwave.

if you microwave is combination, then it also has a convection oven. but you would definitely know this. it would have the option to set it to an oven and the required temperature.

my mil apparently used to make cakes on the cooker using an arrangement of pots, maybe you can google that too.
