The quran works as a book and not as individual surahs. It is a complete program for a set purpose ie peace. You cannot have peace unless you fulfil all its obligations.
It is foolish to misuse the quran or rather it is abuse of the quran. This is why ummah is in the state that it is because it has moved far away from its clearly stated purpose.
All because people have stopped studying the quran for understanding it properly and then following its program and getting the results it promises for mankind.
