I have always been intrigued by teh diff turban styles across the region. could someone tell me the diff types, and where they are worn, pics would be nice as well.

Baloch tribesmen wear a huge white turban, I think their turban is the longest among all. I am not sure if there is an another particular reason in wearing the white turban than distinguishing oneself from other groups. As some Paktoons tribes wear Pakol, in upper Balochistan and in southern Balochistan the Pakhtoons tribes wear small black turban and some other Pakhtoon tribes in the NWFP wear green turbans. How much a turban is important for a Bloch tribesman can be guessed by a Baloch ballad which goes like that,"I swear on my head and hair and turban".
