What the hell is up with people who diet? They are always poking their friggin fingers into others’ food while their salad sits there for an hour. I am so pissed off. So far my sister has secretly eaten anything I have left till later to eat. When she went back home to visit the parents, I asked her to bring me gulab jamun. I had been saving them and hadn’t even eaten one yet, and when I was finally in the mood, I found she had finished all of them.
Same goes for chocolate, the “eww yucky oily desi khana”, the pizza she tells me to “hide” so she won’t eat it, the lasagna she promises me she won’t eat “so don’t make too much”, the chocolate I left in the fridge last night.
This is true of every other dieting girl I have come across. What is wrong with them? Are they just hungry or have absolutely no self control? If the latter, please get some therapy.
Newsflash; people will always rail at you for something. You probably do it too without noticing, but of course it is great fun to villainize others. Get some self esteem.
Yeah well we're talking about dieting here, not "something else" .. You're asking why they do this well, why would anyone secretly eat something? Coz they feel guilty , whether its internal (in which case they should get some help) or external in forms of stares and rude remarks.
ok i admit ..most guys are better than most women when it comes to enjoying greasy fries, pizza and burgers slouched on their lazy boys in front of the tv without a care in the world for calories or fat content*....sighs!*
my brother wakes up in the morning, fills his plate with a mountain of biryani, pops it in the microwave, runs to the bathroom to splash his face and then eats that while watching football..while im still trying to get my facial cleanser to foam up. :(
I used to give in all the time
but lately I have had a lot of self control
(except on weekends when we are invited over
or something,
I could eat all the gulab jamuns in the world :( )
the lack of self control is essentially due to deficiency in the neurotransmitter serotonin
obesity is a disease
even with dieting one day a week shud b no holds barred day to get rid of that ''greed'' which develops in the one dieting
women who diet in an unhealthy manner suffer a lot after pregnancies which drains their body of essential nutrients leading to erly seton of osteoporosis
I had a friend who was very concious and previously had bulimia. Whenever I was eating something yummy, like an icecream, she'd literally come and take it and share more than half with me. Once she did it with a massive shwarma too. I dont mind sharing, but we were together and she insisted she wasnt hungry and didnt want to eat, but she always stuck her fingers in my food!!
I saw a news report on CNN a while back on dieting. Its funny, they reported on this same thing! They found that habitual dieters do this often. They want the hi-cal foods but will not get it for themselves due to the guilty feeling....so they "nibble" from other's plates making them feel like they're cheating on their diets "only a little". BUT the reporter found that "nibblers" actually tend to consume more calories than if they'd had their own portion!!
