Diet Programs

With the health craze everywhere around us, many companies have started offering Diet Kits.

A Diet Kit is pre-made bundle that includes entrees, snacks, shakes, desserts, etc.

Is anyone on one or has anyone tried them? Thinking of trying them?

The ones I know of are:

Nutrisystem
Medifast
Ideal Protein
Nashua Nutrition
Wonderslim
And I believe Atkins is also coming up with something of the sort

Comments? Experiences?

Re: Diet Programs

Stuff like this makes me a little confused. The only way I know of achieving anything is through effort. All this pre-packaged stuff is kowtowing to convenience. Convenience can be the enemy of effort. It feels short sighted.

Re: Diet Programs

yeah…i

ts going to fail sooner or later unless you bring lifestyle changes internally. Kitni dair kits pe dependent raho ge?

Re: Diet Programs

Well, the idea behind them is to help you lose the weight. Once you’re done losing the weight, you will have also learned what helped you lose it.

Helping you make better choices when you ease back into non-packaged food.

Re: Diet Programs

If I was working, I think I would try something. but then the cost always deters me.

Re: Diet Programs

a way for for-profit unregulated companies to make a bunch of lazy/confused people dependent upon them for every single meal of their day. oh gee.. i wonder what could go wrong there.

cook your own meals and you will already be healthier than half of the western world. food isn’t that complicated.

Re: Diet Programs

There is a company in Jeddah that actually delivers your food for the day to you every day. So you get the three meals plus snacks. You’re supposed to eat only what they give you. When I heard about this through another student, I was like wow do people really do this? Why should I pay someone to bring me a salad for lunch when I can just make it or buy it myself? Also, when I asked this student to join me at the gym some day, she refused saying she previously lost weight just by walking and going to her nutritionist. So why did she put it all back on?

Re: Diet Programs

Soooooooo true…working out is the other half of the program.

A lot of people actually do this when they’re working and have a crazy lifestyle. My problem is that for the next few months, I won’t have much time on my hands after I get home for cooking. And if I don’t cook, I will eat junk outside when I get super hungry. Giving up the workout time is not an option since I need it keep sane…lol.

So for people who have a lot going on - this may work.
