Diego Garcia: Paradise Cleansed
Imagine this:
You end your day just before the night fall in your peaceful town, eat dinner with your family and go to sleep after offering your grateful feelings to who ever you believe in for being blessed to be living in a peaceful society.
In the midst of the night you suddenly wake up by suffering clamors of women and children for help, sounds of foot-steps of men running around vigorously to defend their families and homes.
Before you get a chance to peak out of the window to find out what is wrong, you hear a resounding thud, all of a sudden you are surrounded by armed troops. Soldiers arrest you and your family and all other indigenous people of the town. They allow you to pack one wooden crate each, load all of you into military trucks, brutally kill all your livestock and pets; burn all houses and all the belongings.
Few days later they dump you in a slum town of another country. You are informed by Soldiers that the Government needs your town for a military base. All the rights previously enjoyed by you are immediately revoked, all the law enforcement agencies are ordered to forestall your return to the country.
Later you find out that Courts would not hear your complaints because the matter is left to discretionary function of Soldiers, their decisions would not be challenged by any courts therefore your lousy petitions are thrown out of court and you are advised that you are doomed for the rest of your life.
What is going to be your reaction?
