if he did then he took a chance. his popularity among voters is unsatisfactory.

Zobia baji, Bhutto dynasty has always been in the middle of violence. And it is not always in the name of politics. Money and caroes of it also plays a part.
BB's two brothers were killed over fight for ZAB's looted wealth (back then it was quoted to be 60 carore dollars). First brother was poisoned in France by his one or members of the Bhutto family. The second one died in mysterious firing in Karachi.
Zardari may not want PPP at all. In fact he has already announced that PM will be Amin if PPP wins.
The real motive could be billions of dollars looted by ZAB, BB, and by Mr. 10% Zardari.
