I’ve just read that there might be a chance that Asif Ali Zardari might have killed his wife to gain to leadership of the PPP, I mean Zardari is a convicted criminal… is The Pakistan People’s Party the sole property of the Bhutto Family? Why not have the leader of the PPP elected democratically?

In 2003, a Swiss magistrate convicted Zardari and Bhutto, in their absence, of money laundering. They had accepted $US15 million in bribes from Swiss companies SGS and Cotecna to do customs inspections on goods imported into Pakistan. The couple had the Swiss companies pay 6% of the value of their contracts into Bomer Finance Inc and Nassam Overseas, two British Virgin Islands-registered companies with which they were linked. The two were sentenced to six months in prison and ordered to return almost $US12 million to the Government of Pakistan.

First of all, that conviction did not take place in Pakistan. Secondly, a money lanudering conviction does not imply a person is a criminal. Lastly, may I remind you that most of the charges against him were politically motivated. Also, if he was such a crook, why was he let go by Musharraf all of a sudden?

You should also read up on what a conviction is. 
And he was let go because US want to bring “democracy” to Pakistan by letting BB and Sharif compete the elections. Stupid idea and even more stupid for Mush to agree. But that’s democracy for the “main na manoon” group!
