Two of the most likely places with organisms in our solar system, outside of earth. All of this is so astounding and I live my life around these incredulous pieces of information. The universe is an amazing place.

for a sec i thought this was about venus williams' medical procedure. but yay lil venus probe! i wonder why we don't do moon landings anymore?

The Soviets also sent a rover to the moon shortly after the 1969 U.S. moon landing. They were able to collect a ton of data by sending a robot instead and their scientists were paramount in developing the U.S. Mars Rover in the 90s.

The Russian made rapid advancement in space technology in cold war era and despite high tension with US both Russia and US do a lot of development and research work in exploration of space.
