In the name of Allah(sat), most Marciful, and the most Gracious.
Assalamualicum everyone,
If Allah helps you, none can overcome you: if He forsakes you, who is there after that that can help you? In Allah then let believers put their trust. (Holy Qur’an 3:160)
Did you know how blessed you are?
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep … you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace … you are the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness … you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation … you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.
If you can pray in mosque without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death … you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.
If your parents are still alive and still married … you are very rare.
If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful … you are blessed because the majority can, most do not.
If you can read this message … you just receive a double blessing in that some one was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.
“ then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?”(55:13)
We cannot count the numerous blessings of our Allah Almighty, for which we haven’t paid a single penny. He so nicely makes us realize in the following verse:
‘So, Oh jinn and men, which of Rabb’s favour will both of you deny’ (Ar-Rehman -55:14)
More we be thankful, the more we are blessed, as our Lord says:
‘If you are grateful I will bestow abundance upon you and if you are ungrateful ,My punishment will be terrible indeed.’(Ibrahim-14:7)
‘Then, that Day (of judgement) you will be asked regarding the blessings’(102:8)
Dua’a of Suleman.(A.S):
“O Rabb! Inspire me to render thanks for Your favours, which You have bestowed on me and my parents, to do such good deeds that will please you; and admit me, by Your mercy, among Your righteous slaves.” (Al Namal-27:19)
Count Your blessings. Thank Allah rather than complain.
- As for the verse “ then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?”(55:13) , when the Nabi recited the surah Ar-Rahman (The Merciful) to the sahabas, they were silently listening. When he finished he told them that he had recited the same surah to the jin and that they reacted better then them / the sahabas. He said that whenever he would say “ then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?”(55:13) they would reply ’ We la bi shey’in min ni’amike rabbena nukezzibu, we lekel-hamd’ - ‘None of your blessings,oh our Lord, do we deny. And all praise belongs to You.’ -
