I thought that film was so funny, is there a part 2?
It was extremely boring, a desi version of "american pie". I forward most of both movies.

and there might not be any since characters are already in college unlike "american pie".

Last night they sowed it on channel 4 (UK and Ireland). And i recorded it ... seems like the only people whohated it are the ones who've seen it...!!

East is East is so crap-i just hated that film. For some reason AD was far more appealing, perhaps it was the university setting or the charcters......
American Pie is funny too, yet to see AP 2, and nah havent yet seen "ABCD" -will get that from the Banglo shop.
Geuss you have more "mature" tastes, I also like other more sensible flicks, but AD really made me laugh.
The fight in the end was beyond stupidity. The pathetic punching at each other. Lmao.

I got the VCD of American Desi last year and watched it then. It was quite ok and funny.
I also watched ABCD, but that was crap.
I have yet to watch East is East and Bend It Like Beckham.
I really want to see American Desi but have been unable to get hold of a copy in stores. Can't believe it was on tv and I missed it!

ABCD was pure trash. It gives a very wrong impression of asian girls living in the Western world.

American Desi is just that.. a decent time pass. Nothing heavy, and some laughs. The director knew what he is dealing with and didn’t try to spend too much time preaching his views.
ABCD was not just a bad movie.. it was a horrible movie. 
The remaining two are pretty good. I loved Om Puri in East is East. He livens up the movie. His kids were forgettable, though. It was the character of George Khan, with all his idiosyncrasies and oxymoronic attitudes, which made the movie click.
yeah i told someone that american desi was a pretty funny film..especially for those who have attended uni here. thsi girl screwed up and bought abcd instead, her whole family watched it and then she called me cursing why I told her it was a good movie.
I was feeling guilty until she named the movie.. i had a good laugh after that.
i have to say i found the film sooo tedious:rolleyes:
it was full of cheesy bits,actually the whole film was one big cheese ball,and had every single cheesy scence in it that has ever existed in the entire film industry!!!

no , it did not, there was no rishi kapoor or govinda looking guy suddenly singing in kashmir even though the movie is based in some village in kerala.
there were no twins seperated at birth, or family split years ago who all remember thsi one song...
How about a middle aged muhamad ali, running into his home and tellign his mother that he passed highschool..even though he looks like he is closer to retirement age..
come on..the movie was cheesy, but lets not say athat all the cheese ever seen was present there.
