Also the turtle was solitary and the the ruins were a cause of abandonment, there is another connection.
Turtles lay eggs when they come on land and you wanted to be around the ruins, this could mean you see a hope in matters that have gone by. A new birth from a once old civilization.

I just saw this turtle approximately 170 years old. So I thought he has seen what we haven't.
when things were different he was still here. The only way we could see feel/experience past is being in "khandrat"

Hota hai ye. Mujhe bachpan se khandrat ki syr ka shoq hy ju hamary khandan main kisi or main nahi paiya jata. Ammi waghyra purani movies ki bat kerti thin tu dill chata tha ye itni tareefin ker rahi hain kash main woh movies dykh sakti ky hamri pasand ki her movie dykh ker ammi kehti hain aj kal koi story nahi hoti filmon main.
