That is not a very mature analysis. You cannot look at the final score difference (29 runs) and say it was not a close game. One catch (we dropped 4 or 5) or better timing and utilisation of batting PP (just 1 or 2 good overs) or Hafeez not getting out when he did (he gifted his wicket rather than the bowler getting him out) could have swung the game firmly in Pakistan’s favour

Today’s game infact proves that the two teams are evenly matched (despite the hype) and Pakistan are more than capable of beating India despite the latter’s superior batting. Remember this is ODI, on another day we might have seen a very different result between the same sides

MoM is decided after everything is over & done, so the adjudicators cannot say that at the end of the 35th over Pak seemed to be winning and that was due to Wahab’s spell, so lets give him the MoM award.

After the match has been decided, the contribution of the contenders to the overall result is seen and then the MoM is decided. If not for Sachin’s 85, India would have probably lost in the 40th over today.
