Check the wiki. Their is an author who interviewed many high ranking Saudi officials. His name is Wright and he wrote the book Looming Tower, (2006). He mentions that French and Pakistani military Generals were at the scene.
Now tell me why Pakistani general would be at the scene? To take pictures? Heck no! He was there to monitor and help direct the troops.
Obviously there were few French commandos too. But in order to defeat dug-in 500 Islamists you needed at least 1000 combat troops in the compound. And those were Pakistani troops.
