Re: Did Bengalis leave marks of their Culture on West Pakistan?
What do you think about the authority of Radio Pakistan, when army was paralyzed. Moreover, State Media in Pakistan was always upto ‘sab acha hai’. Allegations (true or false) are also on account for Radio India.
There is a connected question? Indian movies were banned in Pakistan till 80s. Was this ban was effectively followed in East Pakistan (having connected borders with India)?
Re: Did Bengalis leave marks of their Culture on West Pakistan?
Men and women, young and old in both wings of Pakistan stood united against the Indian attack. East Pakistanis (Bengalis) echoed the sentiments of their compatriots in the western wing and rose in unison against the Indian aggression. Unbelievable as it may sound today, that was the reality then.
Re: Did Bengalis leave marks of their Culture on West Pakistan?
What has happened can’t be undone. If India has any role, that was provided by our own leaders. Our public still worship those people, who are blamed for all this. Bangladesh is not in that bad position. Its economy is growing. Unfortunately, Pakistani industries are shifting there
For those who put all blame on Punjab and its bureaucracy for separation of East Pakistan, the major role was played by Karachi based industrials who supported Bhutto for his actions, as they were afraid of Mujib’s 6 points and other demands which asked for autonomy and share of industries in East Pakistan. This business game has never been discussed actively. But as they say ‘jo ddosron ke liye gaRha khodta hai…’, the situation of Karachi’s industry is not that rosy today.
Re: Did Bengalis leave marks of their Culture on West Pakistan?
That is what happens when people don't take ownership of their country and are care-free.
Enemies are always out there watching like vultures for opportunities.
I guess Pakistanis deserve it for being lazy and careless ?
