Re: Did anyone of u face this prb???

do Kegel exercise, it can work wonders on this problem.

Kegel exercise is pretty easy to do...when you start a stream, make it stop. Its ok if it doesnt stop completely, just squeeze as hard as you can to try to make it stop. Thats one. Now do this 20 times - squeeze and release. Do a set of 20 three times daily for a few days and then increase to 30 times.

It works. Beleive me.

Re: Did anyone of u face this prb???

ok ill definitely give it a try.. but 20 sets 3 times a day that is = 60 times.. phew, isnt that wayyyyy too mch?? how wud i even do it? i dun think i pee 30-40 times in a day :P heehe. also MO3 i didnt understand how by stopin the stream so many times, i will c a decrease in urine?? y do u think i m urinatin soo mch??

Re: Did anyone of u face this prb???

OOps!!! sorry, I didnt explain it right!!! SO sorry!

ok, so you start a stream. You make it stop. You let it start again. That gives you the feeling of how the exercise is to be done. Squeeze, release, squeeze, release.

To do the exercises, you do not actually need to pee and stop. You just do the squeeze, release. The only time you need to actually be "going" is to get the feeling of what you need to do.

Does that make more sense?

hey MO3 i understand the exercise but didnt understand the second last line... i tried doin it while i was readin ur msg, i was afraid id pee if i do it on the sofa.. hahaha... i thot we are supposed to do this exercise in the bathroom. Mo3 is this normal what i am experiencing... i m concerned abt findin a solution but more than that i m worried if this is actually normal??

Re: Did anyone of u face this prb???

^mall, i think mama is saying that that just the first time when you're trying out what it feels like to 'squeeze' and 'stop', you can let the peeeee run. stopping the pee midway is your indicator that you're using the right muscles; you will feel what muscles you're supposed to be contracting for when you do later.

you can do it sitting anywhere, you shouldn't actually pee. but if it feels like you might, better to go pee first then do it.

in ye olde days in the UK, women were taught how to do this. especially after the birth to get things 'back to normal'.

Re: Did anyone of u face this prb???

...and if you feell like there may be leakage during your exercise times, just wear a pad. You should be able to do these exercises anywhere and at any time.

Its hard at first but affter a week or 2, it gets easier and the urges and the leakage just starts to fade away. I really thought I'd never get repaired, I had an explosive birth with my first son, had a tear and an infection and lost all control for a while. Those exercises fixed things right up though.

Re: Did anyone of u face this prb???

It's normal! Mama's given great advice.

I think you are describing the pelvic floor exercise.
But we can do this anytime not when doing a pee pee.
When you are sat here, standing upw ashing dishes lying down. You squeeze and release your pelvic to make it stronger.

I am having this wee problem at 3 months!!! aarggh

thx everyone for ur replies. ok so is this exercies gonna help in decreasing the urine frequency?? thaz my main concern rite now cus i m just tired of goin to the loo every 10 mins or so.

People here gave you solution of your problem..but increase your water intake... 2-3 glasses a day isn't enough... Mke it minimum 8 glasses... no matter you have to pee alot

Don't worry, you're normal. One of my earliest pregnancy symptoms was having to pee a lot during the night, and I haven't slept through a single night since without having to go to the bathroom (I'm 31 weeks now.) In the beginning, it has to do with hormone fluctuations and your body is also working harder to flush out excess toxins so your kidneys are producing more urine. For a brief period in early second trimester things often let up a little bit, and then it starts again as your uterus grows heavier and starts to compress your bladder more.

My sister told me that also right after you give birth, for the first few days all you do is pee and that's the excess water weight coming off. I can't wait to be on a less frequent bathroom schedule myself! :)

Re: Did anyone of u face this prb???

^ Wait until you wake up every hour in the middle of the night.

And then can’t fall back to sleep because baby decides she’s hungry or wants to play. :naraz:

Re: Did anyone of u face this prb???

I had the same prob..so my doctor asked me the same thing..Kegel exc..which MAMA.. already told you..
i guess its because of the water retention and the way you are carrying your baby i mean the position of your baby...trust me it gets worst after birth ..ur bladder gets weak and every time you sneeze or laugh loud...there you go.. :( no fun.

do Kegel exc they help even after birth.
May you have a healthy and beautiful pregnancy..apart from all these things..it is still the most beautiful thing ever happen to a woman :) i think my daughter is by far my greatest achievement.
Keep well :)

Yeah, everyone keeps telling me the constant night peeing and third trimester insomnia are my body’s ways of getting me used to sleep deprivation!

Re: Did anyone of u face this prb???

^ Yeah. I am not amused.

Re: Did anyone of u face this prb???

Oh so it gets bad in the third trimester.
I havent been to this many public restrooms in my life as I have been in the last few months.
:(
But no complaints, its part of the deal and I am happy to be blessed.:)

Re: Did anyone of u face this prb???

^ It’s worse at night than during the day, I think. But maybe I just feel it more because it disturbs sleep. Most nights I can at least get back to sleep pretty easily, but last night was no fun. :bummer:

Mom of 3 has given a wonderful advice, and it is perfectly normal to pee a lot in pregnancy as baby is squeezing your bladder and all the baby's weight is on bladder so thats why you have to go to pee a lot. I remeber I knew every single store's restroom where they were located.:D
