I did for both my pregnancies. Like Sahar said, you don’t have to do invasive. At 12 weeks they do ultrasound to check abnormalities and blood test. If they find those test positive then the doctor suggest you go for invasive testing. Sometimes its good to be prepared if God forbid you have to take care of a child with special needs.

It is always good to be prepared, I would say, not just sometimes. Your faith in God is a separate issue.

I had this done for my kid too. I’d rather know and prepare as much as I can if, God forbid, I’m ever faced with such a decision.
