Re: Did anyone get their bridal makeup done by an Indian MUA?
My sister in law (jethani) 's make up in London was done by an Indian MUA. Did not turn out well at all. They put soem kind of decoration over her eyebrows as well, the red and gold kind and it did not look nice at all. Even Sania (of Shoaib and Sania Mirza fame) did not look as nicemake up wise.
Desi MUAs inlude Pakistani and Indian makeup artists. It seems as if there are more Indian vendors settled abroad than Pakistani ones.
*** Did any Pakistani bride get her makeup done by an Indian artist?**
*** Do you think there is any difference in terms of work? like choosing the right colours/foundation for the right kind of skin. **
*** If you are looking for MUAs, have you looked up any Indian ones or had a trial with them? **
Ive never had my make up done by an Indian artist BUT I have several Indian friends who frequently use Indian artists.
There is a marked difference in the make up. I dont think Indians are as into makeup as Pakistanis are.
My Indian friends ask me for Pakistani MUA referrals also.

Shirley, one of the most well-known MUA's in Toronto is Indian-Chinese, isn't she?
We also have Kavita Suri and a few other people- I'd say in Toronto the Indian ones are the bigger/better known ones- at the very least they put more money into advertising and turning up at wedding shows. Having said that, outside of Zebi's and Shirley's work, I can't vouch for any of them, Indian or Pakistani. Zebi did my makeup and Shirley has done a few friends and will be doing my SIL to be in July iA.

^ I believe Shirley is Pakistani-chinese.
My MUA, RUby and Amber from Xpressions are Pakistani and Indian. Ruby did refer to something called 'Pakistani style make-up" which I believe is more of defined, smokey eyes, and pale lips opposed to Indian make-up which is dark lips with simple eye make-up.
Re: Did anyone get their bridal makeup done by an Indian MUA?
^ thats kind of how my makeup was....it was done by Dimple Shah....I dont think there was anything wrong with it....I think my makeup complemented my outfits, rather than "matched" them....and she did alot of contouring on my features.
A few months later I got party makeup done in Lahore and it was VERY different than what my wedding day makeup had been, much more emphasis on the eyes, thicker foundation, and again lots of of contouring. I loved it but it was a very dramatic look whereas the wedding day was a bit softer and "classic."
