I loved reading dictionaries when I was a kid. Strange, but true. My parents always gave us books for birthday presents, and I remember having a huge collection of just dictionaries.
So, in your opinion, what are some of the best dictionaries you have used? Do people even use them anymore now that we have everything online?
Now I use Franklin's talking dictionary. It saves time when I am reading a book and have to lookup a word. It also helps me to learn the right pronunciation of words.
Before that I have used many kind of dictionaries back in Pakistan and here in USA.

Oxford.
It used to be Collins, but now it's Oxford. I used to carry a Thesaurus too. Uni days!

You reminded me one of my 5th grader's. He used to love reading dictionary and often take it home with him.
When it comes to paper dictionary, I mostly use Oxford, otherwise google or dictionary.com
Reading dictionary sounds funny to me. . You look up a word in dictionary, there is nothing to read in there.
I love to read history of words though. It is pretty interesting read to me. Was it that kind of dictionary which had history of words too ?
