Dictatorship in BDesh complete

Hearing Hasina is sworn in as PM again after hounding and killing and arresting the opposition.

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

Good for them, I guess.

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

Jaisa baap waisi beti.

I think that the fact of canceling each other out would have served bhutto and mujib better in a united Pakistan. They might even be alive today.

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

Sad that Hasina Wajid has taken the country decades back through her authoritarian ways.

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

It's bizarre.. She's carrying on as normal as tho she won the election fair and square.. Saw her on tv earlier smiling and waving for the cameras..

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

Only India accepted the results of the elections.

What an honour ! :halo:

BD is like ‘aasmaan se gira khajoor main aTka’.
Pakistan se jaan chooTi to Bhaarat kay chungal main phanss gaya. :bummer:

Bangladeshis need to take back their country and establish an even handed stance regarding their future and their relationship vis a vis Pakistan and India.

Hopefully, it can get rid of leaders who are just Indian stooges.

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

its been 30+ years, girna atakna etc nonsense is long over. bangladeshis run their own government.

this is bangladesh's version of the usual problem with muslim-majority countries - liberal bigots vs. religious bigots. liberals have the upper hand this time. economically BD is doing way better than india or pakistan these days. and can't really blame them if they want to be a turkey and not an afghanistan.

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

Or is it pro-India or anti-India problem.

And pro-India bullies have won as a result of a sham election with India’s aasheer-baad. :chai:

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

Bangladesh is "stable' in relative terms than Pakistan, but thanks to hasina that is increasingly being thrown out the window with hartals and violence. As for Turkey, yeah sure Turkey has garment factories collapsing on itself and the one good thing in Grameen Bank was taken over Bhutto style by the govt.

But hey, Bangladeshis made their bed and they have to lie in it. I think that a united Pakistan did make East Pakistanis more competitive because they had a vison / goal / unity of purpose, but that part is certainly lost now. Two competing wings would have been better for both Pakistans in a federal state.

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

no one said indians won when a liberal roshankhayali busharraf took over your country not so long ago, and later killed a bunch of mullahs in a bonfire in lal masjid. why so bitter suddenly about bangladesh, pal?

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

the number of times i've heard indians say such things - just replace bangladesh with pakistan..

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

But the area of Pakistan (and Bangladesh) were just grain and troop supplying areas, so in that sense they have made great strides after the break-up of India. You also have to remember that, notwithstanding what happened later, Pakistan was tabled at a forum in Dhaka in the early twentieth century, so Bangladeshis would have to come with terms on that somewhere down in the future.

But I totally forgot. No one in Pakistan wants to takeover Bangladesh unlike the akhund bharatis in india. ;)

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

there are plenty of pakistanis going to bed dreaming of flying pakistani flag on lal qila, taking over afghanistan etc. lal topi hamid has quite a fan following. can you name any akhund bharati movements or leaders? good luck with that theory..

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

Dude, I can pretty much pick up all your media (NDTV etc) that are full of wet dreamers as well. I don't think that even afghans want to take over afghanistan. The only main interest that Pakistan has is that Pakistan doesn't get trapped between a rock and a hard place in afghanistan and not to mention the refugees that flood Pakistan.

Btw, is lal qila in delhi? Barring the right wing che guvera with spectacles, I do know of a prediction by someone I know about delhi. I thought that it was relative, but benazir did die in 2007. Who knows about the future but I do know that thousands or millions would die before that event ever happens so it shouldn't be taken lightly. A sikh revolt in punjab, for example, can easily make things really bad for the 'lal qila'.

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

i'm guessing you havent heard the famous ghazwa e hind fatwas then. facepalm please the googull. no comparison exists on the indian nutjob's side. trust me.

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

Before third world democracies like Pakistan and Bangladesh make any sinister attempt at defining ‘secularism’, they need to practice some real liberal ethos of democracy and that means tolerance and freedom to operate for all political parties and voices. Bangladesh’s vicious eye for an eye politics have left the entire democratic structure paralysed, it has effectively stopped any democratic advancement of the country. The culture of revenge politics is there to stay in Bangladesh, unless they get fresh breed of truly liberal politicians who may want to run the country on truly democratic principles.

Re: Dictatorship in BDesh complete

...and who exactly is he in Pakistani politics? Sometimes I feel he's more popular with Indian Youtube crowd than Pakistanis who actually live in the country.
