Dictator Idi Amin dies

Former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin has died, hospital officials in Saudi Arabia have said.
Amin, who was variously described as 78 or 80 years old, had been in a coma at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in the Red Sea port city of Jeddah since 18 July.

Hospital staff said he had been suffering from kidney failure.

Amin was forced from power in Uganda in 1979 by Tanzanian troops and Ugandan exiles, following one of the bloodiest regimes in African history.

Dictator idi amin dies

Here are some famous quotes from this now very dead dictator :

**Ugandan women should not carry on with white men. Black men are stronger than whites. This is why white girls run after black men. ** :bukbuk:

To Nixon after cuts in US aid to Uganda

My dear brother, it is quite true that you have enough problems on your plate, and it is surprising you have the zeal to add fresh ones. At this moment you are uncomfortably sandwiched in that uncomfortable affair (Watergate), I ask almighty God to solve your problems. We Ugandans hope that the great United States of America does not continue to use its enormous resources, especially its military might, to destroy human life on earth.

To Lord Snowdon after his split with Princess Margaret

Your experience will be a lesson to all of us men to be careful not to marry ladies in high positions.

**On Middle Eastern affairs **

**Arab victory in the war with Israel is inevitable and prime minister of Israel Mrs Golda Meir’s only recourse is to tuck up her knickers and run away in the direction of New York and Washington. ** :rotfl:

Good riddance. I hope that Idi Amin burns in hell for the suffering he caused the Ugandan people, including killing hundreds of thousands of his people, expelling the entire Asian community almost overnight and reducing Uganada to a pitiable state.

Further the Saudi's should be ashamed for giving genocidal butchers like him sanctuary for all these years, and denying the Ugandan people's right to try this butcher.

:smack: What the he**??

i can’t say anyone will weep at his passing away, sad to state. More than 300,000 people died during his reign as a result of his policies. Idi may have died, but the loved ones of those 300,000+ will have to carry their anguish inside them for the rest of their lives.

i am appalled the Saudi govt. was giving him refuge on Saudi soil. Then again, i guess the Saudi leaders recognized within a brutal dictator their own reflection - birds of a feather flocking together. Good riddance to “leaders” like Idi - the less of them around, the better.

I'm surprised we didn't give them hell over this and demand his extradition every other week "or else"... oh.. no.. wait, that's Saudi.
