Dicer and slicer ..

So , After a bit of research , I found the following ones , they are machines to help chop and slice veggies, i thought it will be of immense help to my mother who cant chop veggies easily due to arthritis issues .. anyone here used any of these machines? any recommendations or reviews?

Slap Chop

Dicer

Russell Hobbs Slice and Go

Re: Dicer and slicer ..

I have the second one from Pakistan, I use it mostly to slice onion. In start it is difficult to use but now I use it easily and it makes my life so easy.

Re: Dicer and slicer ..

i dont personally use any of these specifically but if i were buying for a person with arthritis … id go for an electric chopper option vs one that requires manual manipulation.
so the first and 2nd seem like they will need a lot of wrist/finger use … difficult for anyone with significant arthritis. Cant tell if the last one is manual or not?

something with a variety of functions like these … (looks v similar to the 3rd pic you posted)

Re: Dicer and slicer ..

Ehle, I looked at it earlier and the reviews dont go very well on the machine in the link. So I chose the best possible option .. the third one in the pic is machine operated.

Re: Dicer and slicer ..

ooo ok!
on the USA amazon site … the presto one had 726 .. 4.5 stars reviews! :bummer:

my vote is for the 3rd one you posted then.

Re: Dicer and slicer ..

Personally we feel that we always end up wasting money on these deicers and slicers because of cleaning, maintaining and storage attached with it. We stopped buying these things and are pretty happy with knife. Ones that we have bought already we only use them if we are doing bulk cutting on dawat etc. For everyday use knife is just fine.
