i m in the process of purchasing a diamong ring/ jewellery set for my fiance. Need advise that while purchasing what is to be taken care of as far as diamond specs are concerned? I know abt 4 Cs but how to check this? I know about authencity certificates for diamonds but after a search in the market came to know that nobody here in saudi even understands about certificates and even if smebody offers certificate then it is for big carat rating diamonds only. Is it really like this? I checked DAMAS also but they are also not offering any certificates however, everybody is offering a warranty certificate e.g. DAMAS is offering a warranty certificate stamped by DAMAS only. Also all diamond jewellers are having an instrument to check the originality of diamond. They just check the diamond for u with this instrument at the time of purchase to show that it is original.
Im really confused.
Can anybody advise!
