I’m not good with diamonds, means I’ve never worn or dealt with diamonds, so I’m looking for a diamond stud for my nose online but how do I know if it’s real or fake?
Re: Diamond for my nose
I wouldn't buy it online. Why not just go to a store, where you can actually see (in person) the size of the stud, the quality of the diamond, learn about the return/repair policies, etc.
Re: Diamond for my nose
^still I need to have an idea about the price. I'm looking for a nose wire actually, stud would be too big for the hole.
Re: Diamond for my nose
I agree with redvelvet.. you should go to the store and actually see it in person. Also ask about a waranty.
Re: Diamond for my nose
I afraid they'll charge for extra money in shop. That would be embarrassing if I couldn't afford the price.

Charge extra money for what? Just tell em you're "looking around, getting some information" and ask them all your questions before hand including cost and any "extra" hidden fees or whatever. If you buy online, wouldn't you have to pay for shipping?
Re: Diamond for my nose
the size of diamond in a small nose stud would not cost a lot.

Yes there is a small shipping cost.
Most things are usually cheaper on internet so that's why I was saying that but yeah it's a good idea if I buy from a shop, at least I'll be then sure that it's real.
I have a £50's budget so I was wondering if it's a reasonable money for a diamond wire considering it's smaller than a stud or pin?
Re: Diamond for my nose
here’s an example: http://www.goldpalace.com/page/GPJI/NP/gpj808
you can see they have given the diamond colour and clarity.
when small diamonds are being used in jewellery, they often buy a bulk ungraded diamonds and they are very cheap.
if you want to see how much it sparkles, best to see it in person.
Re: Diamond for my nose
these guys are in coventry. you can always go and see it or call and enquire about the diamonds used.
Re: Diamond for my nose
^so 120 dollars comes to around £50. So I should expect that much for a real diamond wire?
Re: Diamond for my nose
oh, and if you buy anything cheap and want to check. give it to me. i do spectroscopy to check if my material is diamond regularly :p

Yup, the second link is £50. Depends on the weight, colour and clarity. If you go for a small diamond, a less white one or one with more flaws, it will be cheaper. But then I guess they would use ungraded diamonds if they wanted to sell jewellery that cheap.
Re: Diamond for my nose
Coventry is far. Thanks though, I have an idea of the average price now. I’ll see what can I find in my local jewellers.
Re: Diamond for my nose
I got mine from Lahore, my mom paid around $75 for it so that price up there is about the average for a tiny stud. And when I say tiny, I mean it doesn't prude out and is "flat" and not wide, very subtle and not obnoxious at all.
Also, if you are looking online, look for labret studs which are flat in the back and screw in.
Re: Diamond for my nose
the local jewellers Ernest Jones don't sell body jewellery in shop, they sell it online, none of those wires have diamonds btw.
Re: Diamond for my nose
I think you will only get this from an Indian jewellers. You will be lucky to find them elsewhere. Probs just need to go around Southall and take a picture with you to show them exactly what kind you want.

Sister got one from there. You can choose a lot of options to suit.
I got a diamond nose stud for my bday a few years back it cost around £45 compared to a £7 one u can get in the jewellars.. I wore it to death lol still have it.! Ur better off seeing them in person.. A diamond in a nose stud wont be as big as one in a ring for example.. Very tiny so not that expensive
