I'd have to respectfully disagree with you. This makes the problem worse. Everyone needs to face their problems and learn how to solve them, it's part of life. Only weak people do this, who really need help but may not get it because they are doing this "222" thing. If you are in any such situation, please talk to a friend, sibling, parent, or a counselor with experience and they can help you with your problems!

*The OP never said that one should just take to the prayer mat and not actually do anything to solve the problem. Allah ofcourse will give the ultimate solution but HE has given us the brain to work out our solutions...to seek help AND continue to ask HIM for guidance and help in our problems. And that is in no way for 'weak people'.

^ Nicely elaborated. JazakAllah khair for clarifying it. You see, what we do finally, our ideals used to do as the first step after they faced any difficulty. And what we do as the first step, our ideals used to do finally. When Hazrat Abu Hurraira (r.a) had pain in his stomach, the Prophet (saw) advised him to first offer two rakah salat ul Hajah and after that take medicine, because Allah (swt) deserves the first attention in difficult situations, not the last. He can put SHIFA in the same medicine and can also make it the cause of DEATH. Allah (swt) can put BARAKAH in the advice of a doctor, and HE can also put CURSE in it....and so on.
A Suhabi (r.a) was told that his son died. The first thing he did was recite two rakah nafil, then took necessary steps. It is our humble acceptance in front of Allah (Swt) that our efforts, patience, courage, passion, abilities, wisdom, and other qualities are NOTHING before your approval. We first seek your help, and then we would use all the resources available to us. We can't change people related to us nor do we have the power to protect ourselves from any evil. The heart of people are in your control and everything else. That is why we start every effort with Bismillah.....
