Personal expreirences I guess. how did you feel when you were first diagnosed? Do you wish you could just be "normal" and not have to worry about diets and numbers? Was it a big lifestyle change all at once? etc?
Im type 2 but my doctor has put me on insulin for some time because my numbers were too high....
My mother had it , and I was the one who took care of her. So I had no fear or trauma when I found out. Mine was discovered during a routine checkup and was in very initial stages. So I did not have to make any lifestyle changes . I stay away from sugar and foods and snacks high in sugar. I use splenda for my tea and beverages and my wife uses it to make sweet dishes.
