Hey all, for my sis’s mehendi …need to make it a lil different since the dulha’s side is wearing white with yellow/green shawls…we guys wish to make it different , and would wear black kurtas…or suggest us any new colors in vogue this season…
I am also thinking of wearing a dhoti shalwar or a patiala shalwar, just want to be different…the only thing is i cant find a pic of it in google (there’s just female designs, none for guys) …can you guppies help me out or send me a pic…
I just hope this dhoti and patiala shalwars are not difficult in dancing especially
my friend's hubby wore dhoti on his mehndi!!! i thought it was realy nice..... and something very different....... if u can carry the dhoti with attitude... go for it!
I've seen guys in Dubai wear it too.. the only issue is that dhoti/patiala's require a lot of fabric.. black and fuchia go well together.. I've seen nice combo's in olive's and browns as well.
i recently went to a friend's mehndi...all the guys wore white kurtas with red dhotis and the girls wore yellow lachas and red kurtas with yellow parandas :) its was really cute! they danced all night!!
i used to be on a bhangra team and dhotis look really nice, in my opinion and very festive. Anyhow maybe these pics inspire you:
also my friend’s brother wore a white one once it was great, he did these bhangra spins/jumps and i have to say on his 3rd one it started to fall so you boys please keep that in mind if you plan on dancing it up. then again bhangra teams wear them all the time and no one has had that happen so the odds are with you.
