Dhoni

I am sure he has silent all his critics by his bat in this series. Before this sereis he was branded as someone who just knows how to throw that bat. His image was of some maniac butcher with bat in his hand rather than a blade.
But he played so many sensible inning in this sereis that we can no longer say same thing. When situation demanded he slaughtered the bowling but when situation demanded that he stayed on wicket and build partnership, he did that too pretty well.

Jai Jharkhand!!!

Guppies comment?

Re: Dhoni

he certainly is a great talent along with yuvraj :k:

Re: Dhoni

I will reserve my comments about him until I see him bat on non-Subcontinental pitches. Unfortunately, I hardly saw him bat in this series because he was mostly batting when I was sleeping the night away...

Re: Dhoni

Chalo, I got 1st endorsement from a women. They know best about men.

Re: Dhoni

Only Comment I have is Jao Jao koi niz_b ko Bulao:D

Re: Dhoni

^^:smack2: i watched them bat :snooty: n 1 more thing to say, yuvraj doesnt look like he is 24,now u gotta accept that cuz women now best about men

Re: Dhoni

he never was just a hard hitter of the ball, always a sensible hitter of the ball. Its just that lose ball gets the maximum of 4 or a 6. As well he can hit ball hard so normal two's go for 4's. Ofcourse people will keep looking for his success in non-subcontinent, still lets figure out that he is a great find. If lets say he doesn't do good in non-subcontinet, than Dravid and Tendulkar's should make him understand how to play. His success is based on playing straight bat,

Re: Dhoni

I don't think India should rely on Dhoni as their savior. Does anyone have Dhoni's batting statistics in Australia, NZ and England.

Sending Pathan and Dhoni up in the batting order when you have the likes of Yuvraj and Kaif doesn't make sense to me.

Re: Dhoni

i agree. pathan especially seems a pretty ordinary batsman, he isnt the same class as dhoni. the matches he did score his innings were extremely chancy and he got beat pretty often.

dhoni is a gifted batsman, though a bit too much in the sehwag mould for my liking. relies far too much on power with minimal footwork. doesnt seem like he would be too good in bowler friendly conditions.

Guy is scoring with 53+ average and strike rate of 108, and we are still complaining. And you thought you can silence Critics, Critics are not supposed to be silenced ever… :cb:

Re: Dhoni

Well Afridi hasnt done nething fantastic in non subcontinental and/or bowling friendly pitches...but he is still very popular just coz of his record on subcontinental pitches...

No harm in Dhoni enjoying the limelight when he has scored a few in the subcontinent....Besides...if he does score some in Australian or English pitches then I will make "chullu bhar paani" available for a lot of people

Re: Dhoni

My thoughts exactly - from the little I have seen of Dhoni's batting.

Re: Dhoni

Can't talk about what he hasn't done yet. I think he is better than Sehwag since Dhoni plays straight. His averages are too good to doubt him as of now. Though yes, he remains an interesting proposition since he doesn't fall in traditional batting style...

Re: Dhoni

He is good bat, but as some1 said above lets watch him outside subcontinent. Atleast in subcontinent pitches he has been more consistent and a real threat for opposition alongwith Shewag.

Re: Dhoni

he sucks..i think he should retire

Re: Dhoni

To break through so fast into the best batting line up in the world is not an easy task. Dhoni did it in record time. Well done Dhoni.

Re: Dhoni

ok..I forgive you. You are fantasy football champion and not Fantasy Cricket Champion.

Re: Dhoni

I am not complaining. Critics are. I am a fan.

Re: Dhoni

Oops, I meant Critics are complaining, not we... of course we aren't....... :)

Re: Dhoni

Yes, Dhoni is great. It's amazing to see how far India has come along in the last couple of years. Two years ago, Parthiv Patel was considered the wicketkeepf of the future.
