To put it into perspective, Pak's significant lead can generally be attributed to the Imran/Waqar/Wasim era. The late 80's and early-to-mid 90's period when Pak were at their best and India at their crappiest. Throw in those numerous India-Pak Sharjah ODIs played during that time period.
That being said, Pakistan has of course always been a far superior bowling side than India.

Is Dhoni a great player/captain.. hell yea! But on the same side he's extremely lucky to have great talent, coaching staff, domestic structure, expert batsmen like Kohli etc in his eleven. Thats exactly the difference b/w Misbah and him right now. Look what has Misbah got in his side? Out-of-form YK, Akmal with a hot-potato-hands or bowlers who ball atleast 2 whacky balls in 6. On the top of it hafeez got dropped out , ajmal got banned.
No wonder Misbah ended up saying, "I dont know what happened, I just dont" .. an utter expression of frustration
You'll appreciate Dhoni's captaincy even more if you consider the bowlers he had to play with and still win championships. Praveen Kumar, Ishant, Umesh yadav, mohammed shami...after zaheer khan, India did not have one decent fast/medium-fast bowler.
As for Misbah... I think he did not really get time to build up a team he wanted to lead...right now the team is not rallying behind him like they should... and it takes a while to command that respect and following

Misbah has 1 average section (bowling) and one below average section (batting) . Give him Aamir, Saeed, Junaid and Irfan, i am sure he will be able to pull with current crappy batting lineup

Didn't mean to come off as contrasting the two captains; even without those 4, Misbah is capable of leading Pakistan to championship, if the team rallies around him.

India beat Pakistan in world cup matches when Pakistan had the best departments...Inzamaa, Miandad AND Waqar, Wasim.
it's the pressure and mental block on Pakistan whenever they play India in world cups.

Ask any Indian and they will point to 6-0 to hide their overall embarrassment of 72-51 record which is in favour of Pakistan.
Had Pakistan been a regular cricket playing/touring country, the record would have been something like 120-80 in favor of India :)

It's in UAE so pretty sure it will go on. But if PCB gets scared of their team losing and moves the series to Pak (knowing that Indian team will not travel there), then that's a different issue [emoji14]

PCB will NEVER cancel the Pak/Ind series that too as a host coz it brings in $$$$$$. I am sure they will be ready to play Ind anywhere in the world where its financially feasible and UAE sound just about perfect!
