Keep bowls with water and floating rose petals. Add some rose water or perfume to get the fragrance. You can also add floating candles.
- Food Ideas:
A great way to complement the food is to include chocolates, and rosewater desserts.
Here are some foods that take rosewater.
- Gulab Jamun - small ones to give the party a desi touch.
- Baklava. The Arab dessert
- Fruit salad with rosewater
- Rosewater drinks available in Indian and Middle Eastern stores.

*** Non-Alcoholic Strawberry Daiquiri Recipe**
Ingredients:
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 3 oz fresh strawberries (you can also use frozen strawberries or strawberry syrup)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Cracked ice
Directions:
Fill lime juice, strawberries, and sugar into a blender. Blend until smooth, then add the cracked ice and blend again until smooth.
Pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with whole strawberry or mint leaves.
Serve with a straw.
- Frozen Strawberry Juice:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 2 cups water (tap water or mineral water)
- 4-5 teaspoons sugar
Directions:
Pour frozen strawberries into the blender and add water.
Blend until smooth. If you don’t like the texture, add water until good. Freezing the strawberries first will make thicker, more flavorful drinks. Or add more apple juice if you like a thinner consistency.
Add sugar to your liking. Ready!
It tastes best when fresh and still cold, but you can also leave it and drink at room temperature.
*** Strawberry Banana Apple Juice**
Ingredients:
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 banana
- 1 cup apple juice
Directions:
Put all ingredients into blender. Blend until smooth. Add sugar to your liking.

i got paper lanterns frm hobby lobby for a $1 each,
i think target is a little expensive for the lanterns. (i did check them out before getting mine).

Like they would ever let me enter that country again. Never mind.
You can buy/rent pink dholkis in the U.K. Perhaps pink a normal coloured one up with pink sparkly glitter!

^^ oh really!!! thank you all for the ideas:) Made a slideshow invitation and sent it to a few guests. Made it pink (of course), the brides pic wearing rose colored shalwaar camiz, added rose pictures and cute messages:)
BR u can find the paper lanterns in packs of three at the Target located near school. On kendall drive. They sell them in packs of 3 or 5 i believe and have more than one color. Hope that helps. I bought a couple for my mehendi Already!!!
