i cant find the Noor Jehan song im looking for, i need help :(

i dont exactly know what its called but i think it may be called "khote te" and B21 (british bhangra) did a cover version of it which is on their album "by public demand"

my family sings taht song all the time for weddings....my punjabi/urdu isnt great, so i;ll just type in what i think i know..

WOW! this thread is absolutely amazing! and what selection with precision in words and correctness. Some of the wed.songs mentioned...specially the one in no. 23, is a must for commencement of wedding ceremonies since decades. My sisters and cousins sang these of my wedding in April-1976.

The beauty and the classic eastern touch in many songs in Punjabi and Urdu...by very many singers--have made home and a necessity for weddings...including some specially sung for the occasions.

There are families and people who have great value for Paistani songs.... while certain are getting bereft now---with songs like *"Kajra Re...Kajra Re...Tera Kare Kare Naina" to be the essential part of Mehendi ceremonies.*

This thread has given me a great feeling of certain belonging of our youth and teens for their wonderful, beautiful country PAKISTAN.

Just a small contribution from me also on suggesting to include Jawwad's superhit geet from TV serial "MEHENDI"....remember; *GAURI KARAT SINGHAR...GAURI KARAT SINGHAR.......*

hi all,

i just made this account to get some help from here.
my cousin's mehndi is next week...and no one in my family knows how to play the "dholki". Since i'm living in the US, it's really hard to find someone who could do that. So, i was just wondering if any of you girls know how to play it, I just need a demonstration of simply beats to go with the traditional dholki songs.
Just let me know how the beats go......i think it's easy. i just have to practice it.

any help would be appreciated.
