I never knew Dhermander, father of Sunny Deol is muslim. Here is what I read,

in hinduism u r not allowed to have 2 wife, only way he could marry Heema was as being a muslim, he converted to islam as Dilwar and Heema as Aisha and after marrying they converted back 2 as hindus...

I can confirm your post as Dhirmendra's cousin lives on our street. As for Hindus not being allowed 2 wives, who the hell is going to file a complaint against Dhamendra?
Not that I support Bal Thackeray or anything, but what you say is true. In Thane/Palghar area, Thackeray has many maharashtrian muslims in SS shakhas. In fact I have always wondered why Thackeray has never taken any serious action against Dowd Ibrahim (Mumbai maffia don who lives now in Karachi). Is it because Ibrahim is a maharasthrian muslim (familiy name Kaskar, speaks Marathi better than Urdu). Truth be told, Shiv Sena has always been a lot friendlier to maharashtrian muslims than non-maharashtrians.

Cant agree more. In my post i didnt mean to take bal tahcheray's side. i was just answering one of the thread starters comments.
Infact shiv sena was never founded to be a hindu party. It was against non-maharashtrians.
Lots of ppl in india have two or more wives regardless of theri religion.
