Quite commonly used word to refer some continuous / non-stopped activity.
Anyone knows the roots of word? which language it belongs? I have a feeling that there is some historical perspective behind this word.

Re: DhaRa-DhaR
dhaRaa dhaR is made of one word "dhaR" meaning achaanak...a is short for ala [upon] jo k arabii hai...vaise hii jaise maaa-a-maal ...
**dhaR-a-dhaR = achaanak pe achaanak = taabak toR = in quick succession
btw, dhaR also means 'body' but here it means achaanak.
