Dhaani VS. Duur

I’ve been listening to Dhaani straight for a week now and sadly aside from three tracks, Kahani Mohabbat Ki, Chaya Chaye, and Bolo Bolo I’m not getting fond of any other tracks. The WC song sucked before and it still suckes another old song in the album is Pal. There are only 8 new tracks out which only three (IMO) are worth listening. Sohinya and Dhaani are only ok.

Duur was a much better album. I mean how can we ever get something better than songs like Anjane, Duur, Kuch to ho gaya and Aankhein from Strings. I think it was a mistake having expectations that Strings could out do their last album Duur.

Strongly agree with you.Seems like Strings havent worked too hard on this album.I only like Mera Bichra Yaar and Mitti. Rest of them sound quite ordinary to me.

To me this album is a disappointment.

This album lacks the depth that featured in Durr.

I am looking forward to AaroH's album Sawaal which is due on the 18th of September. That should be an album with top quality music.

Well, Dhani doesn't match Duur but it is certainly not a bad album. I love, Chaye Chaye, Bolo Bolo, Kahani Mohabbat Ki, Dhaani and to some extent Mera Bichra Yaar. The rest of the songs are ok, not too bad. But I would give the album a 8/10.

you're right. Dhaani itself it isn't a bad effort but it's not good enough either, that is by Duur standards. Would've been better had Strings made Dhani first and Duur now. :)
