So two of the most ridiculed and abused individuals in Karachi decided to give a one of kind charity Cancer hospital to Karachi.

I hope SKMH becomes a success in Karachi, but really this hospital will get so much hate, targeted attacks and laan taan that PTI supporters would almost wish that IK hadn't taken that step.

I'm so demoralised that I'm not even looking forward to all the propaganda, but Immy is stupid and he deserves every bit of vile campaign subjected to him for making a cancer hospital on Army's land in Karachi - typical aa bail mujhe maar *type stupidity! As if you weren't *badnaam there already.

Before the usual suspects get so offended by thank you Raheel Sharif clause. Bit of background story:

SKMH Karachi was always next in line after Lahore, but Sindh Government did not give IK the land, he went to Gen Kiyani for DHA land, but Kiyani being Kiyani ignored him. IK then approached KPK authorities, and ANP's Azam Hoti was kind enough him give him the land. All this was well before 2013. As some people think IK only made SKMH KPK after getting government there.

So there's a merit in IK thanking Raheel Sharif for giving him the land as his predecessor ignored him completely.

So please for God sake do not get so offended and hatch any conspiracies!

Good for Imran and Good for those who gave land. Hospitals are above political mudslinging. Wish best of luck and probably will donate as well though I did take an oath to never give a penny to imran as result of his dharna :)

You can keep your charity money to yourself, and I can assure you that it will not make an iota of difference to the cause whatsoever. SKMH Peshawar has four more floors than SKMH Lahore, and the donation drive for that happened right after the dharna.

If Allah swt has decided to make SKMH a success & reward IK for his right intentions and faith in Him, He will make it happen no matter how many people take oaths to not give their money.

I was one of those people who thought IK will struggle to get money for SK Peshawar given PTI's dwindling post dharna popularity but as my Nani says - jinoo Allah rakhey unhoo kon chakhey. The donations for SKMH Peshawar (nearly 90 crores) was completed within 3 months.

I don't know under what authority he had allotted the land to IK? When Sindh government refused him earlier, why RS has overridden the civilian government? These generals only win their own land again and again. It is really a shame.

One general earlier involved in selling of plots earlier earning billions illegally, now this nonsense.

Taking the DHA land from Army Chief will come back to haunt Imran Khan for a long, long time in Karachi. RIP whatever little chance of winning he had before.

He has no idea what he's just signed up for. In a city where you are already seen as a Pathan Trojan Horse backed by Punjabi Army to eliminate an entire ethnic group - why on earth would you take Army's land even if it is for a good cause? You've made yourself more vulnerable to such attacks. I really hope he's taken to cleaners so he realises his blunder.

He should have thought about making the next SKMH in Multan or Bahawalpur.

Now next time IK will do any opposition to MQM - they will know exactly where to do their target killings and arson attacks.

Imran has history of dragging people down who did good to him like Nawaz Gave him land for first hospital, like miandad who won him most matches, like Inzi/Wasim heroics in World cup but he overshadowed them at speech about cancer hospital, like putting sheeda talli over likes of Justice Wajahat, Hamid khan, etc.

So if something that will happen to imran in future will be because of him, his arrogance and his own stupidity/lunacy and not because of others. Hoping nothing happens though, This is good step and full support.

Most probably he alloted land that was allocated to military in these otherwise ponzi schemes of DHA. I am sure he is did not violate or override Sindh Govt authority here. But if He did, yes this is serious issue and exactly the reason why Pakistan where it is now. Generals are worse at upholding law and trickle down effect is evident. I seriously hope that General gave under authority he has over Army land and not over riden Sindh Govt.

Imran Khan has openly used SMKH for his political gain.

He has made many speeches where he mentions the hospital as a reason people should vote for him.

Good luck with the hospital, but if IK kept the hospital/charity out of politics, nobody would criticise.

Why shouldn't he? For someone who has never held a single ministry in life, SKMH is the single biggest proof of his financial incorruptibility and sense of vision. If only all politicians ask for votes because they had built state of art cancer hospitals and universities, not Dubai properties and industries brought on stolen taxpayers' money, maybe we will get rid of criminality from our political system.

It is not a joke that someone spends 20 years in dirty and corrupt to the teeth politics of third world country but people still trust him enough to help him raise 20 crores a night for his hospital. That's the kind of faith people have in him when it comes to money.

Let's see if likes of Bilawal and Nawaz Sharif gets 10 rupee change for charity.

For those who feel the need to criticise a cancer hospital - all I can say is that may you and your family never find themselves to use a cancer hospital built by Imran. Ameen.

Asma Jahangir used to spew absolute venom against IK and SKMH, she left no opportunity to mock and discredit his cause, and guess what most PTI supporters felt nothing but sorry for her when they saw a picture of her leaving the SKMH. So karma can be bit of a beeee

I have given to his hospitals while criticizing him for his Taliban khan approach in the past. The DHA land issue is aside from SKMH and it is a valid issue as I remember that during Mustafa kamal's tenure, they wanted the city of karachi to come clean up after storms. Too many billboards had fallen down, but he had refused since DHA neither accepts their authority nor pay any taxes to the city.
