Whats up with DHA Cinema? It has been shutdown for over a month now. Its website said that it was supposed to reopen on 1st December, but it still has not. Reasons cited were Security Threats. But seems like there is some political issue going on. Do any of you have the real or latest information?

Yah don’t know what’s up. I heard it was shut down due to security reasons but now i m also confused, maybe there is more to it

DHA is asking a big amount (probably a bribe) as license renewal fee. The dispute is still not over.
An alternative DHA Cinema is PAF Cinema which is in Cantt.

yes I agree..PAF is nowhere near it but Cinestar is a better option!

I went to PAF Cinema this saturday and now I know why some people don’t like it. The sound was not nice to the ears and the crowd was pathetic, I hate sitting amongst a jaahil crowd 
The seating is arranged in such a manner that I found the head of the person sitting in front of me obstructing my view.

I went there once to watch some match 
I think world cup series..no cooling and ..cheap crowd and I couldn’t sit there for more than half n hour and cinestar is the best as far as sound and video quality is concerned. It is in township. There is one in Bahria too

Latest news is that Cinema will reopen from 1st january, and will be operated by the DHA management from now onwards. DHA did not renew its contract with the previous operators, Mandhviwalas.

Cinestar is even better than DHA. Cinegold is really far but awesome ambience to the place.
