a neighbour of mine is from myanmar, working here and he said he doesnt know if his family is alive or not as there's no telecommunication networks right now. poor guy. i feel so bad for him.

the count reached 100000, Thank God it was to hit my state in india but path diverted to Burma, see the path of the cyclone

The Indian Metrological Department has given Burma warning 2 days before the cyclone hit, India has a satelite system which monitors weather in Bay of Bengal

i know with the closed system there its tough but such a major impact on humans, we must help.

It’s very sad. However, the death toll has NOT reached 100K yet.
The death toll fro m the cyclone that ravaged the Irrawaddy delta in Myanmar may exceed 100,000, the senior U.S. diplomat in the military-ruled country said Wednesday.
“The information we are receiving indicates over 100,000 deaths,” said the U.S. charge d’affaires in Yangon, Shari Villarosa.
The U.S. figure is almost five times the 22,000 the Myanmar government has estimated.
The U.S. estimate is based on data from an international non-governmental organization, Villarosa said without naming the group. She called the situation in Myanmar “more and more horrendous.”
