Ok maybe I got too excited when I got hold of a bottle of detol 3 years ago. I started using it for everything including as a mouth wash. Off course the trick is to dilute it like few drops per cup .. but no, Mr. extra strength put half and half ratio and decided to do a mouth rinse.

that damn solution burnt all my taste buds so badly that for 4 days, food tasted like I am chewing leather ..

So after that .. no detol, dentonic, ENO, Saafi at my home .. nostalgia is bad for my health

hein i didn t know that detol can be use for mouth rinse...i thought it used for cure bruises etc..hmm

No it can be used .. if you really dilute it well .. there are instructions on the bottle .. I decided not to follow those

I think detol will take care of bad breath but , it in itself smells bad at least is is not as better smelling as Scope , Listerine or Crest mouthwash.

stings like a b****h on cuts and scratches, and thats all my school stocked.. almost stings if i think about it hard enough.

i have always seen people in pakistan doing ‘pocha’ with dettol in water bucket.. why would you use it as a mouthwash?!!!

I remember the Dettol incident. It was realllllllly bad. :eek: I mean really.

But anyhooo, Dettol is great if you use it properly, like in your wash to disinfect clothes, to wash off wounds and all :chai:

Never ever heard it as mouth wash - that sounds nasty!
I was thinking of getting some bottles from pakistan and putting some for washing it for babies cloths, is this OK ?
