Shahbaz richest member of Punjab assemblyISLABABAD: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is the richest member of the Punjab Assembly with assets of Rs489.64 million in the country and abroad.

According to statements of assets and liabilities for 2010 submitted to the Election Commission by members of the provincial assembly, Mr Sharif has declared the value of his four properties in the United Kingdom at Rs175.6 million.
His assets in Pakistan include a property in Murree worth Rs16.60m and agricultural property of Rs6.9m. He has shown an investment of Rs20.85m in sugar, textile and paper mills. He owns a gifted Land Cruiser worth Rs20.81m. He has secured mortgages of Rs146.25m and has liabilities of over Rs6m. He has Rs5.75m in bank account.
His wife Nusrat owns a non-agricultural property of Rs177.20m and an agricultural land of Rs51.53m. She has an investment of Rs10.85m in textile and sugar mills and dairy and poultry farms. She has Rs10.184m in banks but has liabilities of Rs5.75m. She owns no car or jewellery.
Mr Sharif`s second wife Tehmina owns jewellery worth Rs5m and two cars.
Abdul Qadir Gilani, son of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, has assets of Rs110.234m. He has a house in DHA Lahore worth Rs32.50m. He owns 118 acres of agricultural land valued at Rs3.94m.
He owns a bullet-proof vehicle worth Rs12.80m and another car of Rs2.2m. He has prize bonds worth Rs5m and jewellery of Rs13m. He has financial liabilities of Rs4.16m.
Chaudhry Moonis Elahi, son of former Punjab chief minister Pervaiz Elahi, owns properties worth Rs128.67m. It does not include an agricultural land at Kot Mela Ram in Lahore, which he received as a gift.
He holds shares of various companies worth Rs143.34m. He has business capital outside Pakistan worth Rs7m, jewellery worth Rs1.625m and holds Rs188.6m cash, but he has no car.
Sheikh Allauddin has assets of Rs1.10 billion, including investments of Rs333.64m in various commercial, financial and production units and Rs282m cash in hand and bank accounts.
Dr Ashraf Chohan has assets of Rs970m in and outside Pakistan. He owns a house and a hospital in the UK worth Rs700m. M. Noman has assets of Rs484.9m, including an inherited property of Rs389.45m, cash and prize bonds worth Rs4.67m, jewellery of Rs1.85m and other assets worth Rs5.5m. He has financial liabilities of Rs39.96m. He has no car.
Tariq Mahmood Bajwa has assets of Rs107.25m, including a flour mill worth Rs75m. The value of a 35-acre agricultural land has been shown as Rs20m and that of a house at Sangla Hill at Rs10.5m. He has liabilities of Rs30m. He has Rs35,000 in his bank account, but he has no car.
Speaker Rana Mohammed Iqbal has assets of Rs10.12m, including an immovable property worth Rs9.5m. He owns 698 kanals of farmland worth Rs5.7m, a house worth Rs30m and three shops worth Rs8m, furniture of Rs150,000 and weapons worth Rs200,000. He has Rs20,000 cash in bank. He doesn`t own a vehicle, but has two watches worth Rs2.2m.
Zulfiqar Khosa has property worth Rs9.6m, including immoveable property of Rs2.1m. He has a Mercedes vehicle worth Rs6m, 20 tolas of gold jewellery worth Rs6m and furniture of Rs200,000. He has Rs700,000 cash in bank.
Ahmed Mujtaba Gilani, younger brother of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, has 23 acres of agricultural land worth Rs4.6m, 200 kanals of farmland worth Rs625,000 and a plot worth Rs141,667.
He owns Nigehban security firm and has an amount of Rs55,000 in his business. He owns three vehicles worth Rs3.1m. He has 10 tolas of gold worth Rs300,000, Rs150,000 in cash and furniture worth Rs50,000. His spouse owns moveable and immovable properties worth Rs7.8m.
Chaudhry Zaheeruddin has assets worth Rs121m, including immovable assets of Rs10.51m and movable items of Rs1.6m.
Rana Sanaullah has assets of Rs42m, including two houses in Faisalabad worth Rs10m, farmland worth Rs30m. He owns chambers in Lahore and Faisalabad worth Rs40m.
Raja Riaz has assets worth Rs44.31m, including three shops, a four-kanal plot and a piece of farmland. He owns a factory worth Rs46m.
Samina Khawar Hayat has jewellery worth Rs56m, but has no vehicle or other property.
Farah Deeba, daughter of late comedian Rangeela, is the poorest member of the assembly with Rs100,000 cash in bank and a car.
ISLAMABAD - Details of assets released by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) reveal that Moonis Elahi holds assets worth Rs over 450 million and chief minister Punjab hold assets worth Rs 240 million.
The overall assets held by Abdul Qadir Gilani stand at Rs 73.50 million. They include property valuing Rs 36.4 million, prize bonds worth Rs 5 million, 2 vehicles and 500 tolas gold.
Nusrat Shahbaz wife of Mian Shahbaz Sharif owns assets valuing Rs 250 million including 15 kanal land. PPP leader Qasim Zia owns property worth Rs 9 million, cash Rs 70 million and bank accounts.
Zahir ud Din PML-Q MPA has declared his assets including property valuing Rs 100 million and 50 tolas gold.
Law minister Rana Sana Ullah owns property costing Rs over 10 million, 2 vehicles and 100 tolas gold.
The assets held by chief minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah are stated to be valuing 11.9 million. He owns a vehicle and cash amount of Rs over 3 million.
Arbab Ghulam Rahim owns assets worth Rs 61.3 million. The property held by Zulfiqar Mirza is stated to be valuing Rs 10.5 million.
