Destruction of the enemy of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

The following is an excerpt from the book “130 evident miracles in the Quran”(pg.33) by Dr. Mazhar U. Qazi.

Broken were the hands of Abu Lahab and he was doomed to utter failure. His wealth and whatever he earned did not avail him anything. Certainly he shall be cast into a blazing fire. Lahab 111:1-3

This is the only place in the Quran where an enemy of Islam has been condemned by his name. Abu Lahab was the uncle and the most bitter enemy of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He was very rich, and one of the most powerful cheifs of Makkah. He used all of his resources and power to hurt the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and to stop him from propagating Islam. Being the next door neighbor of the prophet (peace be upon him), he would frequently disturb his sleep at night. It is also reported that he would often disturb the prophet’s family members in preparation of their daily meals. The above verses made a few specific predictions about Abu Lahab. The statement:* he shall be cast into a blazing fire* predicts that he would die as an unbeliever. If Abu Lahab had used the least wisdom, he would have falsely declared shahadah(accepting Islam) and claimed that the Quran was wrong in stating that:* he shall be cast into a blazing fire*. The fact, however, is that he died as an unbeliever. His final abode would thus be a place in hell, what the Quran calls as a blazing fire. The statement:* Broken were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he was doomed to utter failure*, is a prophecy, wherein an event that was to take place in the future has been described in the past tense. This came true after six years, when the Makkans suffered a humiliating defeat by the Muslims. The statement: * His wealth and whatever he earned did not avail him anything* came true in the form of a repulsive and ghastly death. He became afflicted by contagious pustules, and was thus deserted by all his family members. Even after his death, no one came near his body for three days. When the body started stinking, Makkans began to taunt his sons. They then hired a few persons who pushed his body with wood into a pit. His wealth did not help him even to get a normal burial. All three prophecies of the Quran thus came true word for word.

Although i believe, as god has taught me, that this Chapter makes metaphorical prophecies for future, its outward meaning, however is also true.

This Chastisement that Abi leheb had to go through, was from allah, not from the molvi! Koran does not support punishment of such people by muslims, but orders us to forsake them.

And bear thou patiently what they say, and forsake them graciously.
Leave Me to those who cry lies, those prosperous ones, and respite them a little, for with Us there are fetters, and a furnace, and food that chokes, and a painful chastisement.
( chapter 73, enwrapped, verse 11-14)

Dear Jewels,
It is for the Ulema to decide what to do with a person who says things against prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and not me or anyone else.

Secondly, none of my posts imply that I want someone to go and physically harm Mr. NYAhmadi. I have, however, tried to explain to him the consequences he could face by commiting this hienous act.

After hearing his sentiments though, I don't have the least amount of respect for him.

Dear iqadeer,
i disagree! it is NOT for the ulema to decide the punishment, it is the ** KORAN ** who is to decide! It is shameful that people have reached such a stage in blindly following the molvi, that you consider him superior to koran!

we as ahmedis believe ** KORAN *, the word of allah, to be the supreme command, while you give such a status to molvis!
Dear dee dee, read this if you will, as i'm in a discussion with you, and tell me, is *
this ** what you follow?

i cant do anything but reject such a belief! because:

** We set thee upon a way of command; therefore follow it, and follow not the caprices of those ignorant. **
( chapter 45, hobbling, verse 19)

and ** nowhere *, i repeat, * NOWHERE ** in the koran does it say that ulema should decide over the punishment of those who speak against prophet mohammad! i have given extensive quotes from the koran which support my point of view.

koran, the supreme command, is clear on what we have to do! it orders us:

"** And bear thou patiently ** what they say, and ** forsake them graciously ** ."

As for the punishment:

" ** Leave Me to those who cry lies ** , those prosperous ones, and respite them a little, for with Us there are fetters, and a furnace, and food that chokes, and a painful chastisement."

This the punishment is to be given by ** ALLAH ** and not the ** Molvi **! and it is shameful that you give the powers of allah to the molvis!!

======================================

What nyahmedi wrote was a fact. If doing it was not offensive, then talking about it isnt offensive either! I am proud of what my beloved prophet, peace and blessings of allah be upon him, did! so i stand by him when someone thinks it was bad.
that however, does not seem to be the case with you!

Dear dee dee,
i will like your comments on this topic. In one of the threads, you prayed to allah that he shows me the right path.

now look at what i qadeer has written, and tell me if this is the right path!

if putting molvi before koran is the right path,
if asigning the powers of allah to the molvi is the right path,
then i do not want to follow such a right path!

i'm happy with the wrong path. I love allah, and can not disrespect him. I dare not disregard his book and follow the ulema! If my love for allah is the wrong path, if following koran and disregarding personal attacks is the wrong path, then i will not leave the love of allah! mujhay yeh wrong path hi pyari hai!

Dear Jewels Sahib,

I merely stated my opinion and you have your right to disagree. Since I don't claim all the knowledge of Quran and Hadith, I must seek an Alim's counsel in all matters pertaining to Islamic jurisprudence. If Ahmadis are encouraged to make their own decisions in such matters, I don't have a problem with that. But as for me, it is impossible to encompass the entire knowledge of Hadith and Quran therefore, I will rely upon the judgement of an Alim.

i support your view and disagree to the view posted by nyahmedi. what nyahmedi posted was not the opinion of the ahmediyya community, but are merely his personal opinions.

By the way these were your comments from a previous thread. So why are you shifting from your position now.

Brother Iqadeer,

the Qadianis can quote Qur'an all night as much as they want, but the fact is that until they have imaan it is not going to help them in their arguments one bit, and nor will any Muslim accept their interpretations of the Qur'an.

My brother Iqadeer, discussion of differences of opinion is a good thing but there has to be some common ground to begin; we have ZILCH ZERO in common with these unbelievers therefore you can quote as many hadith as you like and Qur'an but it will avail you not, i'm afraid. When they deny the most basic requirement of Islam which is the Prophethood and it's FINALITY of Habib Allah sal allahu alayhi wa sallam, what remains?

The best policy with these people is to leave them [alone]. This is brotherly advice because Shaytaan has many guises and he tries very hard to corrupt the beliefs of pure Sunni Muslims; and he is much smarter than any of us.

Just say audhu billahi min-ash shaytaan ar rajeem.

wa salaam

Asif :)

Jazaak'Allaah khair brother iqadeer for sharing this thread with us, Masha'Allaah.

brother Asif,

May Allaah reward you for your advice. Verily what you said, was from the truth.

... And Allaah knows best.
