Mullahs are not only responsible. If Mullahs are upto this, we have provided them level playing ground.

We even don’t refer to primary source of our faith in our daily lives. Quran is placed at higher / out of reach corners of the home. We open it in Ramadan or when someone dies for Quran-khwani and most of the time people recite it in Arabic (without understanding) just for the sake of ‘sawaab’. Quran is addressed to me by the Lord. If anyone Lord saheb from this world wrote me a letter, I would open it and will try to understand it with the help of hundred dictionaries, but in case of Quran, we don’t have such attitude.

The gneral habit of reading is linked with this attitude towards Quran. How come societies like us proceed to built libraries where most sacred book is used for ceremonial purposes. Oath taking (jo kahoon ga , sach kahoonga’ and putting over head of the bride at the time of Rukhsati?

Well majority of muslims in our part of world do taqleed. And Mualvis while making people do taqleed dont allow them to read quran for uderstanding. They preach that reading quran for understanding without getting proper knowledge or permission from maulvis will make you gumrah.
And we follow the easy part which is dont read quran for understanding and keep listing ‘religious’ stories in juma prayers.
