destiny

Re: destiny

Both. You have a pre ordained destiny but you also have free will to plan ur route to ur destiny......

Re: destiny

^ if end manzil (destiny) is same .. what difference does the route make ?

Re: destiny

Thats a good question actually. maybe we do make our own "destination". Really not sure. Very tricky area. I suppose i like to believe that stuff is written for me personally because i wouldnt have got to where i am without some kind of "intervention". Whats ur take on it??

Re: destiny

someone asked hazrat ali this same question about how much freedom we have and how much is "destiny". Hazrat Ali asked him if he wanted short or long explanation , the man said short explanation.
He told him to lift one foot up, the man did it , he told him to lift the other the man said he couldnt he'd fall over. Hazrat Ali said that is th answer. It's a combination of both.
That's why we have nights like neem e shaaban and Layl ut-ul Qadr , to pray for forgiveness & have our prayers answered.
Also there are various hadith on what lengthens life and what shortens it; like qata rehmi (cutting off from ones blood relatives) etc shortens life. So our actions effect our life and the course it takes. Ofcourse we can never know whether it's our just the consequence of our deeds or just a test.

Re: destiny

People who believe that everything is already written in our kismat......... and we just follow it intentionally or unintentionally........... are wrong imho. I believe we have power to change our kismat. we should try our best and then we can leave the result on Allah. Believing that we are only doing what is written for us is like..... you just sit at home all day long and think if i have a food in my kismat...... it will get the way to my home.

If you have made a wrong choice its your own fault not kismat. If you think logically at that time you could change your destiny.

I am not non-religious person.......... i strongly believe in Allah and that's why i believe that if i really work hard, Allah will give me those things too which was not written in my kismat. Its all about believes. don't blame your kismat every time you fall............ think about your mistakes and make better choice next time.
