yes they will be rewarded for their patience

in surah noor

Re: destiny!! confused

no its not that

it s written in surah ahzab that there are like men for like women and unlike men for unlike women

Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.

this is ayat no 35

Surat Al-'Ahzab - The Noble Qur’an - ??? ???

Re: destiny!! confused

Where in this verse is it written that our spouses are preselected? It says believing men are to marry believing women. Humble men for humble women…where is the preselection???

Re: destiny!! confused

I don't know if the following verse implies preselection or not.

Surah Ya Seen (36:36)

" Exalted is He who created all pairs--from what the earth grows, and from themselves, and from that which they do not know."

Re: destiny!! confused

How to explain when one spouse is naik/righteous and the other is not? No offense but I’m just trying to understand.

Re: destiny!! confused

So then why is it said to make dua for marriage? If everything is already pre-written in our fate , then no need of dua right? cus the persom meant to be would come anyway?

And what about the inter faith marriages and marrying against parents wishes? does that mean it was in their naseeb to go against their parents and get married?

Re: destiny!! confused

Destiny does exist. There are some things that are already written that cannot be changed. For instance when you were born, who your parents are, when you will die etc. These are major issues and will not change. However there are also minor things written for us that can be changed with dua or even sadaqa. For instance say an accident was written into your future but you gave sadaqa then this may lessen or even prevent the accident. As for marriage I don't know if spouses are already written into our future but because obviously Allah is all knowing and He has written certain other aspects if our lives already then yes it may be true. Also just because something is predestined doesn't mean we stop doing dua. Dua after all is for us not for Allah if we do dua and Allah finds it pleasing then He can choose to save us or protect us from any calamity. Muhammed pbuh was the result of Ibrahim pbuh dua. Because prophet Ibrahim AS made dua to Allah billions of us were guided into Islam through Muhammed pbuh. Dua is extremely powerful it shouldn't be seen as a light matter. In the end Allah knows best. We can't know everything about how predestination works because that is knowledge only Allah has. Best sometimes to not ask too many questions.

Re: destiny!! confused

First you claim all marriages are predecided....then you claim you are confused...If you are confused about a matter why do you believe in it? Either believe in your naseeb or dont...so people with your beliefs think all marriages are pre decided...then why should anyone blame a person who decides to marry a second ...third or fourth wife? It was predetermined by Allah according to the likes of you wasn't it? ha !

Re: destiny!! confused

Ok what I am about to say is nothing that hasn't already been mentioned in this thread. There is a huge difference between your life already planned out for you and A Being that knows how your life will turn out. Hard to comprehend from a human's point of view but this should clear things up. Before every decision that you make in life, you have quite a few choices. For example, for lunch you might have two choices, either eat the one you brought from home or go out to eat at a restaurant. You are FREE to choose, no one points a gun at you and tells you to choose one option rather than the other. But God already KNOWS what choice you are going to make, I mean you were made by God, who knows you better than him? If there was no choice in life, there would no need for rules, guidelines, religion, etc. This also applies to marriage, you could sit in one place and wait for prince charming to fall in your arms, ain't gona happen unless some effort was made by you, your family or both. That doesn't mean that was your naseeb, that means, if you had chosen yes YOU had chosen a different path, things might have turned out differently. If I made any false comments, may God forgive me.
