Destablized Region - Current & Future

In a lot of circles, over the past few weeks, there have been some discussions re the break-up of Pakistan. Various twists and turns are given to who’s who in this plan. TV talk shows in Pakistan have started this taboo topic and high level ex diplomats in powerful centers of powerful countries are openly discussing the dismemberment. Strangely, India has not been mentioned much — maybe we are bored of India at the moment.

I, myself do not know about credible plan by any country, but let me assure you, we Pakistanis are quite capable of dismembering our country without any foreign help and we have history to back up my this claim.

As for foreign policy anyone can see how we are faring with our close proximity neighbors: India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Iran and our favorite friend US; where Tareq Fatemi and Jalil Abbas Jillani are calling the shots with chief whip Sartaj Aziz directing the rudderless rudder. No cohesion in internal (Ch. Nisar) and external (Nawaz Sharif + Sartaj Aziz) policies are going in totally opposite directions- signifying total systematic breakdown when key affairs are run is subdued silos.

Many international think tanks and significant part of intelligentsia are giving max of 4-5 years; given the fact that if things do not improve in the country; the break-up could be explosive not only for the region but would have international ramifications. However; Middle East’s major player is quoted to be proponent of such an eventuality to counter the growing influence of it’s arch rival in the region.

Are we still so naïve that fighting a proxy war of our so-called brother that we are ready to put entire country on stake or is it that gold heap in coffers is too big to look over?

I haven't heard of it unless that dr. masquerading as journalist said anything? Pakistan was in much worse shape in 2011.
